Southern Technical College Design Program Partners with Naples Community on Update

Spring 2016 Completion Projected for Eagle Creek Villas Project

Bonita Springs, FL – (Nov. 9, 2015) – The Bonita Springs campus of Orlando-based Southern Technical College, “Southern Tech,” will partner with Naples-area community, Eagle Creek Villas, for a student design project.

As part of the Villa Initiative,, students will work closely over the next few months with residents to review, analyze and make recommendations to the golf community’s architectural enhancements and overall visual appeal.

Presentation of the project recommendations is scheduled for spring 2016.

“This kind of hands-on training is invaluable for our Southern Tech design program students,” said James Jones, Executive Director of the Bonita Springs campus. “Real world experience is an essential part of what our school offers to help them on the path to rewarding careers.”

“This project is a win-win for our community and the students,” added Michelle Jones, President of the Eagle Creek Villas Homeowner Association. “It will enable our community, which was established in 1986, to create a cohesive design plan to enhance and update our aesthetics.”
