Nursing Curriculum Overview

At Southern Technical College, our Associate Degree in Nursing program can be completed in less than two years and is approved by the Florida Board of Nursing. In the Nursing degree program, you will receive specialized training in critical care. Upon graduation, you’ll be eligible to take the National Council Licensing Exam (NCLEX-RN) to become a registered nurse. After passing the exam, you can seek employment in a variety of healthcare settings, including hospitals, physician’s offices, and more.

Notice to students and prospective students: The Associate of Science in Nursing program at Southern Technical College – Fort Myers, FL has been placed on probation by the Florida Board of Nursing, due to noncompliance with its first time NCLEX passage rate standard.

Notice to current and prospective nursing students: This serves as formal notification that action was taken by The Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) at its meeting in April 2023. The Board of Commissioners, as a result of the focused visit following a decline in licensure examination pass rates, affirmed continuing accreditation with conditions to the associate nursing program, as the program is in non-compliance with Standard 4 Curriculum and Standard 6 Outcomes.
