Southern Technical College Continues to Partner with Worldwide Charity Committed to Hygiene

Orlando, FL – (April 5, 2016) – Students and staff from the Orlando campus of Southern Technical College, “Southern Tech,” returned late last month to give back by volunteering Clean the World® headquarters downtown.

Pictured above a large group of students and staff spent a morning shift sorting toiletries that will be distributed in other countries. The charity, based in Orlando, provides hygiene products that can help save lives.

The community service and global awareness project also serves a team-building exercise, which is part of the enrichment provided at career colleges like Southern Tech.

Pictured above center with the group, Martin Levert, executive director of the campus, said the student outreach project has really caught on with the students who enjoy the activity and want to give back to others.

“As these students begin their careers, they are given various opportunities beyond the classroom to help others and learn about worldwide needs,” he said. “We are so proud of their enthusiasm and commitment to this effort.”
