Southern Technical College HVAC Students Compete in Welding Competition

Orlando, Fla. – (May 31, 2016) – A group of students from the welding program at the Orlando campus of Southern Technical College, “Southern Tech” competed in a campus welding competition recently.

From dice to a truck and even a step stool were made by the students, who are taking classes to refine their welding skills as part of their career training.

Instructor James Quatrini, who regularly praises the students who “make magic” in the welding classes, expressed pride about the dedication shown. “I love how our students have this medium to show off their creativity while using the valuable skill sets they are learning in our classrooms,” he said.
