Southern Technical College Honored by International Public Speaking Association
Orlando, FL – (May 13, 2016) – Students from the Orlando campus of Southern Technical College, “Southern Tech,” received honors at a local meeting of Toastmasters International at Lockheed Martin recently.
From left, students Omar Cartagena, Fabiola Felix, Leslie Puello, Marian Cruz and Pamela Kerce won a ribbon for competent communication.
“We’re proud of our students for being honored by Toastmasters International,” said Nikki Reynolds, communications instructor, Southern Tech-Sanford. “Toastmasters International is a great platform for students to network with others, improve their speaking skills, and enhance their professional development.”
Since being founded in 1924, Toastmasters International has helped more than four million men and women become more confident in their speaking and leadership skills. The organization’s membership exceeds 332,000 in more than 15,400 clubs in 135 countries.
