Our Elementary Education program is designed to prepare you to teach in an elementary school setting and includes field experiences, with a full term of student teaching required as a capstone course.

Our Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education program is a four-year program designed to prepare you to teach in an elementary school setting. In this program, you’ll receive instruction in designing lesson plans, classroom management, assessment and specialized topics, such as ESOL principles and practices, teaching diverse populations, and integrating the arts into instruction. Upon graduation, you’ll be able to sit for K-6 certification and will have completed coursework necessary for ESOL endorsement. You’ll also receive a transcript indicating the completion of a Florida Department of Education (DOE) state-approved program.
