The Career Pathways Program combines learning, financial assistance, and support services to help you begin training for a rewarding career, even before you have earned your high school equivalency certificate.
Who can enroll
The Southern Technical College Career Pathways Program (CPP) is designed for anyone who does not have a general equivalency diploma (GED) or a high school diploma and wishes to attain a college diploma. This program is limited to designated diploma programs at the following campuses: Auburndale, Brandon, Ft Myers, Orlando, Port Charlotte, Sanford and Tampa.
Prior to enrolling, you must take and pass the Wonderlic Ability to Benefit (ATB) assessment exam. A minimum score of 200 on Verbal and 210 on the Quantitative portions of the exam are required.
Choose the Career Pathways Program that fits your abilities and goals.
In addition to the scheduled hours for port-secondary instruction, those admitted to the CPP also attend a GED prep course and receive weekly academic adviser meetings to help you achieve your goal.
Can I get a professional certificate?
Yes. Career Pathways offers classes to earn a college diploma.
Are textbooks included?
Yes, textbooks and supplies are included for students who qualify for financial aid.
What if I don’t have a high school diploma?
Career Pathways students can co-enroll in high school equivalency and college courses.
